Behind the Scenes: Making Halloween Designs with the xTool F2 Ultra UV
One of my favourite things about running William Alexander Toys is getting to work with my dad on new designs. We’re always coming up with ideas, trying different techniques and seeing what we can make next. With Halloween around the corner, it felt like the perfect time to get creative with something a little spooky!
Bringing Halloween Ideas to Life
Today, we got busy on some Halloween designs. Our Bambu Lab 3D printers made the spooky shapes, and our xTool F2 Ultra UV laser helped with engraving and finishing. The results were brilliant! It’s always exciting to experiment with a new idea and see how it turns out once the machine gets going. Sometimes you know exactly what you want to make, and other times the best part is seeing what happens when you try something different.
Working with my dad means there’s always something new to learn. We spend time testing designs, figuring out the best way to make them and making little adjustments along the way. Not everything works perfectly on the first try (that’s part of the fun!), but every project teaches us something new.
A Peek Inside Our Family Workshop
Our workshop is where ideas turn into real things. From designing and 3D printing to laser engraving and experimenting with different materials, we have plenty of tools to help us bring our projects to life.
We use machines from xTool and Bambu Lab, alongside other equipment, for all sorts of creative projects. Our Bambu Lab 3D printers help us make detailed models and bring designs into the physical world, while our xTool machines let us explore engraving, cutting and other creative techniques.
We’re always discovering new possibilities, whether we’re working on articulated dragons, book nooks, fairy houses, personalised creations or something completely different. There’s never really a dull day when there’s another idea waiting to be tested!
