I'm so excited to share that I was featured in the Kildare Nationalist! They wrote an amazing article about how William Alexander Toys got started, and I wanted to tell you more about it here.

How I Started My Business

It all began when I was helping my dad with his business. For every picture I took, I earned one euro. That's when I had the idea: why not start my own business and make my own money?

So in February 2025, I officially launched William Alexander Toys with my business partner Sophia, who is 14. She manages the business side of things while I focus on creating and designing new products.

What Makes Our Toys Special

We create things you won't find on other websites — articulated dragons, illuminated book nooks, fairy houses, clothing, night lights and more. The dragons can move and pose in different ways, which makes them really fun to play with!

The product I'm most proud of is probably the electric book nook

Always Creating Something New

We're constantly working on new items, especially for holidays. Right now, we're adding products for Valentine's Day — like Valentine's fairy houses and rose houses with lights inside. We also have plans for Halloween and Christmas items.

School, Business, and Everything In Between

Balancing school at Ballyshannon NS with running a business can be challenging, but I love it! Each week, my dad and I work together to create videos for TikTok to show people how our toys are made.

The funniest part is that everyone at my school wants to join my business, which is really cool! My teachers have been super supportive too.

What's Next

Getting interviewed by the Irish Independent and appearing on Newstalk was such an exciting experience. Now with the Kildare Nationalist article, even more people will learn about William Alexander Toys!

I plan to keep growing this business as I get older. I want to add even more products — not just toys, but different sections for adults too.

None of this would have been possible without my dad, who helped me create the business from the beginning, and everyone who has supported us along the way.
